How to Get Hitched By:Trina

As most of you know, I'm getting married soon. Well, actually.. TOMORROW. What most of you do NOT know, however, is how much of a procrastinator I am. So much, in fact, that I still am not quite settled on my dress. I know many women that would panic and cry and break stuff if this were the case for them.. but not me. Nope. I am A-O.K.
Since I haven't blogged in a while, I thought I'd give you an update on all of the things that I have/have not done to prepare for our wedding extravaganza. Here goes:
How to Get Hitched
By: Mwwwaa
  • First, and most importantly, you find your soon-to-be spouse. It wasn't too difficult for me, since he conveniently moved upstairs in my apartment "complex" (if you can call it that). You wine and dine eachother over milkshakes and chicken bones, paint bathrooms together, make extremely long trips to Wal-mart together.. and vwwaa-laaa.. true love ensues.
  • Second, you move in together. Yah, some people wait til after marriage.. but I think that's a scam. Moving in together was the smartest and most efficient thing that we've done so far. (I might note that moving into a house with central air/heat, storm windows, and sturdy walls are pretty important.. and not to be over-looked. --PLEASE, take my word for it)
  • Next comes baby. Hooray! Hooray! We've cloned ourselves!! Parties, celebration, presents, weight gain, insomnia, back aches. Woah! Hold the phone! We gotta get hitched!
  • So, now you see how easy it is to get married. Just 4 simple steps!! All for just $19.99 plus s/h. (you guys get the summary version for free just because I love you)

Now, for the bonus feature!!

Things you should probably already have on the day before your wedding:

  • Wedding dress
  • Groom's pants
  • Plans for your hair
  • Eating utensils
  • Money to pay everyone that you promised you'd pay
  • A bathroom at your house to get ready in
  • A good relationship with Mother Nature
  • Appropriate shoes
  • Arrangements to pick up food/cake/flowers
  • Money to pay everyone that you promised you'd pay
  • Wedding dress

Now do you believe me that I am the World's #1 procrastinator??! Well, it's a toss-up between Scott and I. You be the judge.

Please, please, please pray for us that our higher power has it all under control. There is NO WAY to do it on our own. Oh! And next time I blog, I'll be a married woman. (Sorry gents)

  1. Yay! How exciting for you! I hope your wedding day is all you've ever dreamed of (and more!) Thanks for the tips. I'm thinking Twenty might be "the one." OMG, I can't believe I just wrote that! But yeah, when you know, you just know, right?!

Here's hoping tomorrow is a fabulous day and one you'll be sure never to forget :)

  2. You sound a lot like how I would be on the day before my wedding...but the difference is I would be a stress ball!!! Keep the positive attitude,,, its not about the wedding anyways... Good luck:)

  3. did it go?!?!?!?!

  4. Hahaha.

    I love this post!
